I’m conflicted on how many stars to give this place. To be honest with you, it was somewhat underwhelming, which was sort of a bummer. However, the food was relatively good. Not amazing, but tasty, flavorful and with decent portions. We started with the grilled octopus and the foccacia bread. The bread and garlic butter was really good. The octopus was flavorful and made with a very tasty sauce, but it was a little too chewy. Yes, octopus is chewy but this one was a little tough (but not enough to prevent us from eating every last bite). My wife ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, which was good but the least exciting of our dishes. I wanted to order the lobster pasta with squid ink but they were out, which was unfortunate. So I had the Pappardelle di Bosco, which I enjoyed. My brother-in-law had the Pollo Parmigiana, which was good as well. My mother-in-law had the Short Rib Pappardelle, which was probably the best of the plates. The food was well-portioned, flavorful and quite enjoyable. For drinks, we had wine, gin mule and old fashioned. I ordered the “Under the Tuscan Sun”, which is basically an Aperol Spritz with fresh fineapple and blueberries. The drinks were good but the

After years of trying to make it out here, finally made it for my birthday. I made an early reservation to keep the suegros happy. The place was empty but they had just opened and it felt nice to have all the attention from our waiter, Juan. The place started to fill up towards the end of our dinner. BTW, our waiter was super cool and funny. As soon as he found out that it was my birthday, he made me and the family feel super special. To start, I had an Old Fashioned and it was made exactly like it’s supposed to be made. One chunk of ice and it was mixed perfectly. Now, my wife wanted some Pinot Grigio and this is where Juan impressed me. He told my wife that they did not any but instead of just saying “Do you want something else”, he rapidly suggested another wine which my wife said it was delicious. I was the only one to have a primo, had the chef’s soup choice. It was a seafood soup that was intense with flavor. Clams, calamari, shrimp and vegetables. I usually add hot sauce to soups like this but it had a spicy taste to it that was just perfect. I finished it all! Then the main courses came. I had the short rib pappardelle. You can taste that the pasta is fresh, not like that

Ristorante Casanova is the perfect spot for a birthday dinner! The food is delicious. Try the Shrimp pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, and the homemade pizza. Make a reservation. 👍🏻😋 🍕🦐🍝

Great place for Italian! We took a chance on this place out of the blue for my wife’s birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised. It is a hotel restaurant, and they don’t hold back on the portions and flavor. We ended up tasting each other’s meals and were pleased with all of them. The flan dessert was just ok, but they gave us cookies to go which were fantastic. Give them a try!

If you want great quality Italian food in El Paso this place is a must. Joel was our server and gave us excellent recommendations. We tried the mussels, meatballs and fritto misto to start, followed by three pastas and the pollo parmigiana. Everything was delicious. For dessert we ordered all four options, the gelato was amazing and the Nutella calzone was so hugeeee we had to take it to-go. Great service, great food, highly recommend.
